Plex Systems, Inc., provider of Plex cloud for the manufacturing enterprise, grew at a robust rate in spite of economic challenges in the marketplace. Markit Strategies and PR, LLC was the marketing and PR agency to Plex during its explosive growth years of 2006 – 2013. Markit helped Plex with their lead generation, media relations, direct marketing, newsletters, social media, awards, speaking opps, white paper and case study development, digital content marketing, and event promotion.
Markit Strategies helped to grow the cloud provider of ERP systems, even despite the difficult recession years, from 50 employees in 2006 to over 400+ at the end of 2013. Markit also expanded the Plex customer focus beyond Automotive Manufacturing to Food Processing and Aerospace/Defense Manufacturing. With average recurring revenue growth of 35%, the company was purchased by a leading technology investor in 2012.
Plex software enables manufacturers to perform at maximum efficiency by providing enterprise resource planning (ERP) functions and manufacturing execution system (MES) functions, along with customer relationship management (CRM) and more, all designed specifically for manufacturers. Plex Cloud Manufacturing is currently used by companies in automotive, aerospace and defense, life sciences and the food & beverage industries.
For nearly seven years, IABC awarded Markit Strategies and PR with a dozen of its highest honors for the successful marketing and communications work produced for Plex. In 2011, the Business Marketing Association (BMA) B2 Awards recognize the work business marketers and agencies do “2” engage employees, sales forces, channel partners, government and consumers. The Plex Systems Integrated Marketing Communications Program received the B2 Award of Excellence as announced on the BMA website.
